"311 music is reminiscent of an out
of control, downhill on blades...
Pass'n 50 m.p.h. on Mt. Bonnell Road
during rush hour in a light rain...
but yet, in a groove-unusually zoned
& barely aware of the faint frenzied
giggle escaping your gaped mouth
along with beads of druel bungy
jumping from your tongue as it wags
in the wind! With an intimate respect
for concrete curbs & speed bumps,
you smile and give thanks for one of
life's small rewards- an extreme rush!"
"A show with enough adrenaline to
put hair on your grand kids teeth!"

This 311 doesn't have an address on 6th St. This band kicks a heavy beat with heavy lyrics, mixing what ever music style they choose. Although they like to go back and fourth from sweet melodic grooves to a hard driving rap beat with a hard rock bass hammer thumping on your spine. 311 sports a mental vibe that pumps a positive blood flow, they have a definite point of view & that is a rare find among many bands today. We caught 311 @ The Austin Music Hall on Aug. 14, the place was packed to the roof and the crowd was definitely excited to see the boys back for the third time this year. You know that unique energy & excitement everyone feels on the day of a seriously large concert?-well!
