A wonderful new software product is once again out of the reach of the
Mac market - it's called Easy CD Creator. It's used with recordable CD
burners and actually helps you make tracks and reduce noise when
transferring from an analog source to a CD - rather than just making a
digital one-track recording of your tape, you can mix and match and it
will create track breaks prompted by the silence between bits.

I for one, being of sound mind and twenty-somethingness, have many
tapes of old, CD-unpopular music, my friends' original songs, and
recordings of live performances I would hate to lose to the magnetic
winds of time; professionals who offer this service can charge
exhorbitant rates per disc.
