The Journey

When I look in your eyes
You tell the story
Of a person I want to know.

You reveal the layers
Each of your life
Of the places I must go.

I feel the excitement
Each time you blink.
Another travel gone by.

To live my night
Through the places you've been.
Like counting the stars in the sky.

My stare grows deeper.
I seek a new chapter,
Of the life in which I live.

I long for the journey
To take me closer,
To a place that's restorative.

To touch my heart
To lift it up
To feel it whole again.

Look in my eyes
Tell the story
One where my life begins.
